Stake Conference

We had a wonderful Stake conference today.  It was held in a convention center about a half hour away from us.  We had about 50 missionaries there. They sang about being the army of Heleman and changed the words to "and we are now the Lord's missionaries to bring the world his truth." It was quite powerful.  We also got a new Stake President.  He is President Scheltinga.  We was the mission presidents counselor.  He was the one who picked us up from the airport.  He will do a great job. After we were invited to lunch at the Schaumanns. This is their music room. notice the violins on the wall.
The kids table. The boy in the dark suit reminds me so much of T.J. He always has a smile on his face.

This is Boyd and Celeste Henderson. They are from Preston, Idaho. They came here in May to start a new business, indoor trampoline parks.  He worked for a company in SLC and decided to go out on his own.

These are Erik and Tera Schaumann. The boy standing is Phillip.  He is friends with their children.  He is not a member but has been going to church since Sept.  He even goes to early morning seminary.  He is real interested but doesn't want the missionary lessons until he is 18, I think he made a deal with his parents.  His Mom even came to church last week.

This is Li Ping Gui.  She is from China.

Apple pie for dessert.

After dinner the kids made a tower out of wooden blocks.  The youngest Schaumann boy is on the inside.

These are the blocks.  They have 2500 of them.

Does he remind you of T.J.?  He has the same expressions and mannerism of him.

Its leaning a little.

This is the name of the blocks.  I think my grandkids would love these.  It reminded me of the time we went to Thanksgiving point to the museum and the boys made a house out of Legos.
